I’m up North for 10 days working in my mums flower shop making holly wreaths and sparkly christmas arrangements! I love it! The greenery smells like lemons and I’m using cinnamon, orange and lime slices, eucalyptus buds and fircones I’d collected from the woods in Cornwall. Next week I’ll be making fireplace garlands and hyacinth planters. It’s good to get my fingers in the soil. See some photos on my art blog here It’s also been great to catch up with Keith Watkins and he’s coming with me to the BBC Radios, on Thursday to Carlisle and Friday to Blackburn to play some songs from the new album. I’ve a new song brewing from the long drive up here which is helping me through the seriously early mornings and late nights. Count down to Christmas is on!

I’m looking forward to meeting up with Keith again up North to play BBC Lancashire and BBC Cumbria in a month You can listen to all the radio shows here.
Just back from Truro, the sun is shining and birds are singing! Lovely autumnal day. It was great this morning, to play ‘Best Time Ever’ with Kaj on ukelele for BBC Radio Jersey and then ‘Future Come On’ for BBC Cornwall. We had great responses from the radio stations and feeling very happy ‘Best Time Ever’ is out tomorrow! Follow this link to iTunes or Amazon.
It’s been amazing to hear ‘Best Time Ever’ being played on the radio from Scotland, England and Wales! I’m looking forward to two radio interviews tonight and then next week I’m going to Truro to see David White at BBC Radio Cornwall to sing some songs from the new album! Feeling very happy!
‘Best Time Ever’ played across the country from Oban to Truro! Tonight at 5.15pm Stephanie will be speaking to David Lane on Sine FM 102.6 Doncaster and then at 6pm she’s with Steven Evans at BRFM Wales 97.3. On Thursday 29th October Stephanie and guitarist Kaj will be in with David White at BBC Radio Cornwall at 11am singing songs from ‘Tiny Spark’. Click ‘read more’ for links.
It’s been a busy few weeks! The London trip to work with Phil Thornalley went really well and then straight into more recording with Patrick Bird. Chris Bell played drums and Keith Watkins came down from Manchester to record his beautiful guitars, then to London to add the bass and soon Kaj Skjervik will add some piano. It’s a lovely relaxed way of working – giving everyone involved time to add their own magic. This is the beginning of my fourth album and it’s great to hear a new take on some of these songs… old and new. Here’s a couple of photos of Patrick and Ruby… Right now I’m looking forward to singing some of the songs from ‘Tiny Spark’ on BBC Radio Cornwall towards the end of October before the single comes out on October 30th!!
