3D Gwithian Rocks
Here are some of the stages that the 4ft Oak beam has gone through since I brought it home. I’ve loved every minute of working on this big chunk of wood. There were so many different ways it could go and I could have quite happily spent many more days sanding and scratching and painting and then sanding and scratching and painting again. Its been a real thrill to work on something three dimensional. I must finish the tiny wooden block you can see at the side (also found at Shiver Me Timbers!). It’s like a little patient animal sat waiting for a cuddle.

I’m looking forward to Open Studios starting this Saturday! I’ve been preparing the texture on an 8ft x 4ft sheet of aluminium. I’ll post pictures once I start painting it!
